Health

Since my surgery I am frequently asked, “How’s your health.” It is a thoughtful and caring question that deserves a similar response. However, when we are asked that question, we usually respond only about our physical well-being. In my case, is the transplant still functioning properly, how are my football knees, and am I showing any signs, like some my teammates, of loss of brain function. We might mention a slight cold, allergies, or a sore tooth, but then again you quickly learn you are supplying too much information. People don’t really want that much detail.

However, our health is not limited to our physical well-being. We are all triune creatures. Our three natures must be in harmony before we are truly well. Man the animal must be in tune with man the intellect and man the spirit. All three are divine and come from God. There is no higher sense of well-being than when they are in perfect symmetry.
