Little by Little

Forgive me Luis for getting this wrong, but my memory is that you say, “believe as much as you can, and that’s sufficient for God.” Close? Another way to put it might be that God allows us to know all we need. No more is given to us than is necessary to lead us to his perfection. It is sufficient to abide in peace with whatever understanding he gives us. When we rest in God he operates within us. Our soul allows God to do great things within it. He gives to our soul  treasure to enjoy, and the greatest of those treasures is his presence.

As our soul rests in God, little by little he gives us more and more vision, sufficient to the level of faith of which we are capable. In this way, God leads us into a greater and greater understanding.

Editor’s Note: I have been away for the last few days on my first of what I hope to be many adventures this year to “Neverland,” or a California version of it. I hope while I’ve been away you’ve followed Tom’s response to my letter. If not I commend it to you.
