As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men. – Galatians 6:10

Let brotherly love continue. – Hebrews 13:1

None of us are so full of cares or so poor in gifts that we are immune to God’s call to serve humankind. There is so much to be set right, there are so many to be led and helped and comforted, and we come in contact with them every day. We must take care that when we meditate, or when we are focused on future goals , or when we are simply lost in thought; that we do not miss our turn of service and pass by one whom we might have been sent on an errand straight from God.

Look up and not down, look forward and not back, look out and not in; and lend a hand. – Edward E. Hale
