Good Friday

Whether you believe Lent ends after attending church on Good Friday (The Mrs. Worthen Rule followed by many Arkansans), at sundown on Saturday, or Easter sunrise, a wonderful new beginning is almost here. Whether you adhered to your Lenten discipline, slipped slightly, or fell of the wagon in a major way — you still get to sing Welcome Happy Morning come Sunday.

There are few days in the year where symbols of a new beginning are everywhere like Easter – fresh flowers, colorful baskets, beautiful dresses and hats, and seersucker suits. Enjoy, celebrate, and sing for he has risen, and come Monday we all are armed with the light to go forth and bring the message of peace, justice, and love to the world.

This Sunday rejoice and give thanks for a great new beginning will be here for each and every one of us.
