Saturday Before Easter

So what happens now, where am I going to — Another suitcase in the hall, Evita.

On this Saturday before Easter. The disciples, the followers of Christ, and yes the Romans, Pharisees, and the angry mob would have all been singing this tune from Evita, except Andrew Lloyd Weber wasn’t alive and producing musicals yet.

Most of us have been at such a point in our lives where we say to ourselves or others – so what happens now? I have certainly been there more than once – when doors were shut, a devastating loss occurred, or where I was lost without a clue. How about you? Imagine everyone 2000 years ago especially the disciples. They had quit their jobs, left their homes and families, and followed what the believed to be the answer only to have it ended tragically and suddenly. Frightened, scared, and yes maybe even angry they asked, “What happens now?”

The good news is what we celebrate tomorrow – Easter and new beginning. The good news in our life is the answer is the same – God will provide and we will have a new beginning. The suitcase in the hall is a new and exciting journey.
