Wednesday In Easter Week

He prayeth well who loveth well

Both man and bird and beast;

He prayest best that loveth best

All things both great and small;

For the Dear God who loveth us,

He made and loveth all. – S.T. Coleridge

One point I think the fundamentalists miss when they try to pit so many of us against each other, especially those who don’t believe exactly as they do, is that Love alone was at the beginning of all things. The talk a lot about the beginning of time and creation science, but forget the fact that no matter when the beginning of nature and creatures occurred, it was love that guided the governing hand. Omniscient Love was there at the very start to save every misguided creature — great and small, whatever color, sex, sexual orientation, or religion – from the mistakes of its own hands and thoughts. The perpetual inheritance of creation is unconditional love for all God’s creations, not a select few.
