Father! Replenish with Thy grace

This longing heart of mine

Make it thy quiet dwelling place,

Thy sacred inmost shrine! — Johann Scheffler

It is not our work, but our worries that hinder the presence of God. We sometimes get so caught up in the “what will happens,” we forget to find the time and our individual special quiet place to seek God. Hush yourself to your wants, busy thoughts and cares, and in silence seek God’s face and voice. When you do, he will make a secret place in your heart where you can always go to find him. And when you do all around shall reflect God, you will speak to him and he to you. Outwardly you may even be doing your work of your calling, but inwardly you are with him.
