Religion

When a religion goes under attack like the current assault on the Muslim faith, it is natural to see people who belong to other religions or practice a different faith retreat.
Subconsciously we take such an assault as an attack on all who are faithful, no matter what we believe; so we hunker down and tend to be quiet. I don’t know if you sense this or not, but I certainly do.
I also know that with all my might I must resist such a tendency.
An attack on people who follow their prophet, is an attack on us all because the over one billion muslims in this world are part of humankind, they see the light of God differently than I, but they still seek the light.
As a Christian I must not retreat in being outspoken about my faith either, even though other people who are Christians are leading the assault on Muslims. I owe it to my faith to speak out against bigotry or injustice wherever it is found, whether the bigotry and injustice is being perpetrated by Christians, Jews, or Muslims.
These are times where Christians must not remain silent, or we risk dishonoring our own beliefs and faith.
