Tuesday In the Fourth Week of Lent

Lent gives us an opportunity to experiment and once we have learned, to design the next experiment.
Lent gives you the chance to dabble in various forms of meditation, prayer, fasting, and service and to see what works for you and your neighbor.
Great figures in History like St. Francis, Benedict, and Gandhi found different ways to serve God and their neighbors. Francis through prayer and asceticism, Benedict through work, and Gandhi through nonviolent resistance.
Lent give you the same opportunity to test and experiment, to determine what speaks best to you. Luis would say to learn where the light shines brightest.
As you learn through experimentation, begin to ask what discipline speaks to you. What can you do next to make the world a better place.
