Saturday In the Fifth Week of Lent

A simple but very important part of our Lenten discipline is daily prayer. We all pray in different ways, and there are as many forms and kinds of prayers as there are stars in the skies. None of them are wrong.

A commitment to daily prayer has an ancillary effect on us. It helps us become more serene and comfortable with our place in the world. Life becomes easier and less of a struggle.
Even when our faith needs reinforcement and we are full of doubts as to whether someone is listening, daily prayers work.
