Arise, Oh God!

Arise, Oh God, and rule the earth, for you shall take all nations for your own. — Psalm 82:8.

My children are taking the state of the world and especially the virus better than I. Each in their own way have surrendered to the fact that we are all impacted by the virus and complaining or moaning does no good at all. They will take all preventative steps such as masks, social distancing, and being careful where they go, but when it comes inconveniences and yes sometimes real tragedies they accept that this is part of our current life and go on living without complaints.

In so doing, they actually take control. It is a funny paradox: the more we surrender control, the more control we have.

This is a good lesson for us all, and not limited to the virus. We do what we can, and let God take care of the rest!
