Almost September

The convention is over so Suzy and I will head back home. It is hard for me to believe that it is almost September. Despite it being a lousy year, it has flown by. I wonder if the acceleration of time is due to my age, or I’m running out of time to accomplish many of the things I want to do.

Time is such a funny thing. When you are doing something you enjoy time flies, but if you are locked up in a cell time creeps like an old turtle crossing the road.

I need to quit wrestling with the clock, and enjoy my remaining moments more. It is one of those things we can’t control, and we only get frustrated when we try.

Like I said time is funny. In reality, it neither slows down or speeds up. It is only a measurement, but we speak of it as an enemy or a friend.

Enjoy your moments and ignore the clock. Not a bad philosophy.
