Celebrate the Moment

Today begins a new month and the end of my January cleanse where I gave up social media and alcohol for a month. Not that big of a deal, but I did it. So what  does Suzy ask me? — “What are you giving up for Lent?” I guess if we ask people to forgive our past mistakes, we aren’t entitled to past credits either.

Life is one continuous strive for improvement. Each day we rise to the thought of doing things a little bit better. It reminds me of the quarterback who wins the Super Bowl and what question is he asked after the game — “Do you think you can repeat?”

What is the expression? — “Don’t rest on your laurels.”

I know that I am not perfect, not by a long shot, but every now and then everyone of us should celebrate the moment. Not for long, but a moment.
