If St. Paul were still around he might be writing the above to Congress. Can you imagine the progress we could make if Congress was of like mind and purpose on anything?
In reality, if St. Paul were still around he wouldn’t be writing Congress, but instead he would put pen to paper to write you and me. He would remind us that our purpose here on Earth is to serve God by caring for others and loving our neighbors.
Whether we are members of Congress or a community we need to be of the same mind and purpose — to serve our neighbors, not ourselves.
