He Began To Speak

Then he began to speak…. — Matthew 5:2.

Have you ever wished you could actually hear the voice of God? I know, that through prayer and meditation we think we hear him, and there are those who claim that God spoke directly to him, but I mean wouldn’t it be nice to actually hear him speak where there was no doubt it’s him/her?

Matthew gives us that opportunity. He lays out the Beatitudes and unlike the Parables they are not hard to understand. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus turns our understanding of the world upside down. Reading Jesus’s most famous sermon from time to time is worth your time.
