Double Down

We are starting our second week into the Lenten season. Whether you have been vigilant in your regime or have had a difficult time holding to your sacrifice, service, and study it  is time to “double down.” For you see God’s love is like I cold drink of lemonade on a hot summer’s day. You can’t get enough.

Remember your first true love? Remember how you couldn’t get enough of her/him? How you wanted to spend every waking moment with  him/her? Well God’s love is even more all consuming, and you will feel it when you dive right in to your Lenten discipline and get closer to God than you have ever been.

Don’t worry if you snuck an oatmeal raisin cookie or had that one martini. Double down.
