Laugh

Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. — Luke 6:21b.

The above is one of my favorite beatitudes. Why? Well first, I don’t cry often except at sappy movies, then I am a regular fountain. But I love to laugh, and love to be around people who laugh. Humor is one of God’s greatest gifts.

I have lost several good friends over the past years. Initially, I cried when I learned they had died, but as time passes my memories of them were of the good times, the funny things they/we did. Jesus nailed it when he said, “those who weep now, will laugh.”
