Maundy Thursday

As we approach the end of this year’s Lent we also approach this year’s meditation on God’s call for each of us. Lenten season will return next year. We also need to realize that we need to remain open to the possibilities and resist the temptation to make a closure before our life has run out.

Meditate on all the people who found their call after it seemed that their call had ended. Any finite task or career points to another beyond it. Our sense of what we are meant to do with our life needs to remain open-ended, no matter how much or how little we feel we have accomplished. We never know fully what we are called to do.
