Secret Thoughts

Thou hast known my soul in adversities. – Psalms 31:7

As we know ourselves, we begin to know God. God, on the other hand, knows us through and through. Even those “secret thoughts’ which we hide from the world and more importantly hide from ourselves are not hidden from him. So as we meditate, pray, and go through self-examination we come to see ourselves more as God sees us, and we begin to catch a glimpse of his design. Each check to our desires and each failure of our hopes we now see in a different light. We see how they are fitted to us like a well-tailored suit and how perfectly designed they are for our spiritual state, which till that moment, we knew not. Until your meditation takes you to this point you must take it all in faith, believing, but knowing not, in the goodness of God.

Seek out your “secret thoughts,” and you will catch a glimpse of God.
